How Does Online Reputation Help in Growing a Business?

Undeniably social media is an effective tool for internet or digital marketing. A digital marketing company would therefore obviously be expected to make optimum utilization of social media to manage the online reputation of their business and brand alike. As the benefits of a quality business blog is widely recognized in terms of greater brand visibility through which online reputation in turn is effectively managed, there probably isn’t a single online marketing company that has not reaped the benefits by having a quality blog.

It’s a well-known fact that a brand’s image could be relegated to disrepute due to possible adverse feedback posted on the internet. Conversely, the image of a brand could be promoted as well through positive feedback which is what any digital marketing company in India and elsewhere would obviously want. Therefore the necessity of a well-managed quality business blog could hardly be emphasized enough with regard to online reputation leading to growth of a business. An expert guest blogger could maintain and manage the blog or the blog could be managed internally as well. Regardless of whether an expert guest blogger manages the blog or it’s managed internally, the objective, focus and indeed the purpose of maintaining the blog is to build online reputation which would ultimately contribute in the growth of a virtual business. This is a fact that should not be lost sight of.

There’s reason to believe that a blog is the most effective tool to use to build an excellent online reputation and thereby ensure that business grows for online marketing companies. The thought process and personality of an individual is reflected through a blog which essentially enables readers to form an opinion about a business in general and a brand in particular. Readers get to know through a blog, among other things about the aspirations of a business and or brand, what the business and or brand aims at achieving and what it has to offer. Through a blog consumers get to voice their opinions about a brand, or business in general which is much appreciated.

There is a distinct advantage in having a separate blog site as opposed to integrating blog pages on the official website. A separate blog site would have separate ranking on SERPs. If the website of any digital marketing company for example and blog equally rank well, the possibility of being considered an expert in a particular niche is high. If either one of these sites have poor SERP ranking, the option exists to improve both rankings by using the other site. Even if there is a separate blog site it should be linked to the official website so as to ensure that the business grows.

While posting a new blog, at least one of the web pages should have reference. In this regard a blog post from the past with relevant content, or social networking pages or an article on an official website of an online marketing company perhaps or even a different blog altogether where a business and or brand has had positive reviews for example, would in all likelihood entice blog readers to look into the extent of online presence of a brand or business.

This strategy may convince and even tempt readers to visit the official website of digital marketing companies of all places perhaps and become a patron of not just the blog, but the products and services that the brand represents as well. With an ever increasing popularity of a brand and or business, online reputation management becomes easier as there would be a veritable fan following of a brand that would defend and protect a brand from onslaughts.

Depending on how powerful an official blog is, it would determine the effectiveness of an online reputation management. Through an engaging blog, SERP rankings would improve as would the appreciation and loyalty of a target market which translates to online reputation leading to earnings ultimately.

Marketing a New Online Business With Blogs – Blog Your Way to Traffic Heaven!

If you’re reading this blog, chances are, you’re a new Internet business owner, looking for marketing advice. Or perhaps you’re thinking about joining an MLM program or a cash gifting club and are looking for information on how to market your opportunity. Either way, blogging is one of the one of the best ways for YOU to get going in the online business community.

A blog (short for weblog) is an online journal containing regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Blogs could be about anything, from strictly personal life observations to pop culture gossip.

So why should an Internet entrepreneur, such as yourself, maintain a blog? It’s quite simple. Blogs are a GREAT way for you to increase traffic to your business web-site while creating a trust relationship with your readers. The ultimate goal of your blog should be to increase visibility of your online business web-site, NOT to sell products or services. If you try to “plug in” a sales pitch in the middle of your blog, at the very least, the readers will be put off and leave and at the worst they will flag your blog as spam or inappropriate content. On the other hand, if you provide quality content, a vast majority of your readers will repay you by checking out your opportunity.

The other major added bonus of posting blogs is that they create what’s called “back-links” to your web-site, which is something that search engine spiders look for when they determine the position of any given web-site in the search rankings. More blogs = higher position in the Google and Yahoo! search engines.

So, how do you write a quality blog? How can you attract prospects to your online business without overtly “selling” them something? No one likes to be sold to, but everyone likes to buy. The key is to write your blog in a way that doesn’t aggressively “sell” , but “helps” the potential customers make their choice in favor of your product/service/opportunity.

For example, let’s say your business is selling electronic cookbooks. You might think that it would be best to write a blog like this:

“Super-Duper-Crazy-Cookbooks.com is EVERYTHING an aspiring chef could only dream of!

For only $9.99 get HUNDREDS of recipies, including rare dishes from Taiwan and Morocco!

Surprise your guests by whipping up our famous chocolate-strawberry souflee!

Create incredibly tasty meals for the whole family in 20 minutes or less!”

You get the idea. There are a couple of major problems with this blog. It sounds a lot like an ad and doesn’t provide any educational content, thus it is likely to be flagged or ignored by a majority of readers. Also, it is an extremely weak piece as far as search engine placement because it doesn’t have any “keywords” in it. Keywords and key phrases are what a person types in when they’re searching for things on Google and Yahoo. In the example with cookbooks, they will look for “the best Indian food cookbook”, “electronic cookbook reviews”, “best Chinese recipies” and other such key phrases.

Think about what it is that you have to offer that is unique and interesting. Perhaps, using the cookbook example, it’s your exotic Ethiopian food recipies. Then, it would be a good idea to target that audience by providing a blog like this:

“Ethiopian Food – Is It The Right Choice For Your Family? Recipies, Cooking Tips etc.

Ethiopian cuisine consists of spicy vegetable and meat dishes, served atop injera, a large sourdough flatbread. Ethiopians eat with their right hands, using pieces of injera to pick up bites of entrées and side dishes. No utensils are used.

Ethiopian cuisine is gaining popularity with families in America: the children are allowed to eat with their hands while getting a highly nutritious meal, filled with lean protein and vitamins.

So, is Ethiopian food the right choice for your family? You decide! Here is an easy-to-prepare recipe of one the most popular Eithiopian dishes, provided by Super-Duper-Crazy-Cookbooks.com:

The recipe is here.”

A couple of notes about this blog: it provides something of value for free which is going to be appreciated by many people; it also contains many search engine key phrases such as “Ethiopian dish”, “Ethiopian Cusine” etc., which vastly increase the chances of this blog being found on the Internet.

Once your first entry is written, create an account with as many of the major blog sites as you can. It’s a very good idea to post your blog on at least 6-7 blog sites (you may wish to use a blog disseminator). If you haven’t yet joined an online business opportunity, make sure you ask your team leaders for help with blogs. For example, I provide a list of the best blog and article websites to my team along with detailed tips on how to post the blogs without any problems. Remember that the more blogs you write, the more people will go to your website. I would recommend writing a blog every other day for the first month after your start/join an opportunity.

I hope this was helpful to you! I wish you best of luck in your blogging endeavors.

Online Business Tips: 10 Ways To Manage Your Blogging Content

I’ve written blogging content for years, but it’s about time that I documented some of what I’ve learned to share with others. So here is some of what I have gained from experience and lessons learnt with my online business.

Your blog content is of great importance when it comes to your online business. There’s no point in having a blog unless you are going to produce good quality content on a consistent basis.

Promotion of the content is important, but if you get the content right, others will promote it for you and this will help you to build your online business.

Keep the Ideas Flowing

Find a place to list your ideas. You might want to use a spread sheet or a notebook. It’s important to capture any ideas that you have as they appear in your mind. It’s not a good practice to blog from instant inspiration.

Use a Mindmap of Your Posts

Keep a virtual dashboard of your posts. By adding your blog to a mindmap structure you can see what you’ve got with aerial vision. You’ll be able to spot the gaps and you’ll also find a lot of ideas to improve your content.

Use Strong headlines

People make the decision whether to read an article or not based on the headline. Make it juicy, or at least use it to communicate a worthwhile usage of time, otherwise people are likely to skip it.

Set up a posting system

Decide how many blog posts you are going to deliver each week and stick to it. Even if it’s only one, then you need to stick to it. Otherwise you’ll lose readers. Part of your decision should apply to how many words you want to write. Some people prefer just 300 words, whereas others will go up to 3000 each time. Find what suits you.

Be consistent

It’s important to create a habit to be there for your readers. Once they have built that connection with you, they’ll want to see you there for them. Whenever you feel that you just cannot do anymore, then remember that you’ll cause more than just disappointment for yourself. Your online business will suffer too.

Schedule your posts

This way you won’t miss the posting date. It’s OK to write your posts in advance. It will ensure that your readers aren’t let down and that you can keep going with the writing routine.

Break Your Post Into Smaller Paragraphs

It’s easy to get lost in a mass of text online, so do yourself a favour and break your text up into manageable sections. Don’t write more than 5 lines in a paragraph. This practice will also help you to think clearer about what you’re writing.

Add Links to Your Other Content

Not only is this good for your SEO, but it will help to keep your readers in your blog. You’re bringing good content to their attention.

Keep going

It can take up to 6 months to get good results from a blog. If you stop now, you won’t make it and you will have wasted your time. It takes commitment and perseverance to grow a successful online business.
